Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 to get the Android 8.1 OREO update
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was launched in India in February. This smartphone comes with the powerful specification, beautiful design and many wooing features. However, there was a shortage in the Redmi Note 5. It came with the MUI 9 based on Android Nougat. But Xiaomi has been promising to roll out the MiUi version based on Android 8.1 OREO. Now many Redmi Note 5 users are reported to receive updates of MIUI (version 9.6.5.5.0). Redmi Note 5 Pro, launched with the Redmi Note 5, has received the MIUI 9.5.6 update based on the Android 8.1 OREO in June this year
According to the report, for the Redmi Note, 5 Android 8.1 Oreo’s recovery ROM has been made available to every user. This is the global version of the update. As an update, the user will get MIUI v9.6.5.5.0. It is worth noting that Xiaomi has officially not provided any information through the Forum. However, the selective Redmi 5 Plus has claimed this update . The user shared a screenshot of the MUI 9.6.5.0 (OEGMIFD) update.
